# How do you simplify 50 sqrt 8?

$100 \sqrt{2}$
You have to split the $\sqrt{8}$ bit into its prime factors which are $\sqrt{2 \cdot 2 \cdot 2}$
So $50 \sqrt{8}$ = $50 \sqrt{2 \cdot 2 \cdot 2}$
but the $\sqrt{2 \cdot 2}$ = 2
and $50 \sqrt{2 \cdot 2 \cdot 2}$ = $50 \cdot 2 \left(\sqrt{2}\right)$ = $100 \sqrt{2}$
