The answer is #11.#

Use Order of Operations (PEMDAS) to solve the expression.

P - Parentheses
E - Exponents
M - Multiplication
D - Division
A - Addition
S - Subtraction

There are no parentheses in this expression, and no exponents either, so we can skip those. Now, there is a multiplication sign. Multiplication comes before subtraction, so we'll multiply.

#4 * 3 = 12#

Now, the only thing remaining is subtraction, so now we will subtract.

#23-12 = 11#

So, that is why the answer is #11# :)
