How do you solve #2x-3y=21# and #5x-2y=25#?

first, you get one of the variable.
I choose the second equation to get the relationship between x and y, which would be "-2y=25-5x","y=-12.5+2.5x" then "2x-3(-12.5+2.5x)=21", "-5.5x=21-37.5","x=3"

Then you put the number into the other equation, and then you will get "y=-5"

You can also probably check your answer by inserting those numbers into one of the equation, to see whether left side=right side or not.
