# How do you solve the following system: 8x-3y=3, 7x-2y= -67 ?

We can use any of the 3 methods to solve it: Substitution, Elimination or Cross multiplication method.
I am using substitution method here to solve this system.

#### Explanation:

This is how we do this:
$8 x - 3 y = 3$ (equa.1)
$x = \frac{3 + 3 y}{8}$

$7 x - 2 y = - 67$ (equa.2)
putting the value of 'x' in equation 2
$7 \cdot \frac{3 + 3 y}{8} - 2 y = - 67$
$\frac{21 + 21 y}{8} - 2 y = - 67$
$21 + 21 y - 16 y = - 67 \cdot 8$
$21 + 5 y = - 536$
$5 y = 557$
$y = \frac{557}{5}$
now put the value of y in the equation 1 for getting the value of x.
