Explanation:

# 3x+2y =2# (2)

Multiplying equation (1) by #3# and multiplying equation (2) by #4 # we get ,
# -12x +24y =0 # (3)

# 12x + 8y = 8# (4) . Adding equation (3) and equation (4) we get ,

#32y =8 or y =8/32=1/4 # .Substitutig #y=1/4# in equation (2) we get,
#3x+2*1/4=2 or 3x = 2-1/2 or 3x =3/2 or x = cancel3/2*1/cancel3 =1/2 #
