# How do you solve using the quadratic formula x^2+3x-4=0?

You can use shortcut. Don't use quadratic formula.
Reminder:
When a + b + c = 0, one real root is (1) and the other is (c/a).
When a - b + c = 0, one real root is (-1) and the other is (-c/a)

$y = {x}^{2} + 3 x - 4 = 0$
Two real roots: 1 and -4 (c/a = -4)
