From first one, $2 y = 3 x - 10$
Hence, $5 x + 3 x - 10 = 6$ or $8 x = 16$. So $x = 2$.
Thus, $2 y = 3 \cdot 2 - 10$ or $2 y = - 4$. So $y = - 2$.
I found $2 y$ from first equation and put into second one.
