How do you use synthetic division to find: f(-2): #f(x) = 3x^4 - 2x^2 + 1#?

Simply divide f(x) by (x+2)
If you divide f(x) by (x+2), the remainder will equal f(-2)
In this case, the remainder equals 41 and f(-2) also equals 41
Hope that helps
