Explanation:

For each critical point that you pick, insert the x-coordinate into the equation of the function. That will give you the y-coordinate at that x.

Then, put the point on the graph.

And repeat this for as many points as you need.
When you've done that, just connect those points.

I'll pick x = 1 as an example:
#y=2*1^2 - 13*1 - 7#
#y=2-13-7#
#y=-18#

As a result you have a point (1, -18).
