Given two points (in this case `(2,7)` and `(-2,9)`
the easiest way to get this into standard form is to first write it in a slope-point form and then re-arrange

Slope `m = (Delta y)/(Delta x) = (9-7)/((-2)-2) = -1/2`

Slope-point form (using `(2,7)` as the point)
`y-7 = (-1/2)(x-2)`

Re-arranging
`y-7 = -1/2x +1`

`1/2x + y = 1+7`

`x+2y =16`
