How does electromagnetic force relate to the creation of electricity?

The interaction of electricity and magnetism is the electromagnetic force. Magnets can be used to induce electrical currents and electricity can be used to induce magnetic fields.


Specifically in electrical generators, moving magnets through electrical conductors (wires) induces an electric current, or electricity. Most of our electrical power is generated in this way. See also: for detailed description and animation.
