Precession of equinox is the process where the earths axis changes its position over thousands of years.

Explanation:

Earth's axis make a circle in sky in 26000 years..About 5000 years ago the star called Thuban was the pole star..Now we have Polaris at pole(North)..After 5000 years from now Polaris will not be the pole star After about 13000 years star Vega will be the pole star..
