Explanation:

The lava that bubbles up between the cracks of the plates (in Iceland) spreads outwards. When they test the rock to see how old it is, close to the crack it is relatively young but farther from the crack it is older, this supports the theory because it proves (in part) that the continents have moved and are still moving today
