Explanation:
When the food has been digested by the stomach, there are nutrients left over such as vitamins, sugar and proteins.
The remaining food travels to the small intestine. There are small finger-like projections called villi that absorb the nutrients which will be used by the body. The nutrients can then pass into the blood and lymph.
