It has grown to a much bigger size


The executive power has known a tremendous rise since the American Revolution. Several stages have to be mentioned: the American Civil War, Roosevelt's presidency, FDR's presidency and the rise of the executive after WWII during the Cold War.

The Patriot Act or the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution are examples of how the executive branch grew in power thanks to wars notably.
