How many grams do I have to take from the calcium chloride dihydrate?

In Preparation of Ringer's solution, I have to use 0.12 g CaCl2.6H2O ... But I have in stock CaCl2.2H2O ... So how many grams do I have to take from the dihydrate?

Well, what are the molar masses of each hydrate...

Explanation:

The reaction requires #0.12*g# #CaCl_2*6H_2O#... molar quantity of #(0.12*g)/(219.08*g*mol^-1)=5.48xx10^-4*mol#...

And we take an equivalent quantity of #CaCl_2*2H_2O#...i.e.

#5.48xx10^-4*molxx147.04*g*mol^-1=??*g#..not much difference...and usually when you use hygroscopic salts like these they are all the same composition....
