At least one third of plant products, necessary for human welfare, come from insect pollinated crops: of which more than three fourth are pollinated by bees. Thus yield of agricultural produce will sharply decline with decline in bee population.

Explanation:

More than 100 crops are dependent on honey bees for pollination. Some of these may disappear if honey bees disappear. And some of these crops are high value agricultural producs like Apples and Almond! Thus dwindling number of honey bees would affect us in two ways: one is gastronomic and the other is economic.
