depends on various factors. I have detected 2#mu#g of protein.

Explanation:

there are various factors which are involved in the process which include.

  1. amount of protein in cell lysate
  2. effectiveness/sensitivity of the antibodies
  3. substrate sensitivity used for chemiluminescence

i have detected about 2#mu#g of a membrane protein in my cell lysate.

with purified protein i could detect approximate 1#mu#g.

but above three factors are crucial.
