How should you read blank verse to make sense of it?

Read for the rhythm, not the sounds.


"Blank verse" is distinguished by its lack of rhyme while imposing a regular meter, or rhythm to the words. Thus, to try to get the most of the poet's intent it should be read with a focus on the pace and length of phrases more than on the verbal connection of phrase endings.
As with ALL art, it also depends greatly on your own sensibilities and interests.
