The best way is called the Shoelace Formula:

$A = \frac{1}{2} | 3 \left(7\right) - \left(- 1\right) \left(2\right) + 2 \left(6\right) - 7 \left(- 5\right) + \left(- 5\right) \left(- 1\right) - 6 \left(3\right) | = \frac{57}{2}$
