# How to fine the equation of the curve ?

May 27, 2018

Simply integrate to find the function:

$f \left(x\right) = \int - 2 x \mathrm{dx} = - {x}^{2} + C$

We now can solve for $C$ knowing that the graph passes through $\left(3 , 0\right)$.

$0 = - {3}^{2} + C$

$0 = - 9 + C$

$C = 9$

Therefore the curve is $y = - {x}^{2} + 9$.

Hopefully this helps!
