# If a * b = 1 - a/b, what is the value of 2 * (3 * 4)?

## I'm not sure if * is an operation or a value.

$- 7$
solve values in the parenthesis first where $a = 3 \mathmr{and} b = 4$
$2 \cdot \left(3 \cdot 4\right) = 2 \cdot \left(1 - \frac{3}{4}\right) = 2 \cdot \frac{1}{4}$
using $a = 2 \mathmr{and} b = \frac{1}{4}$
$= 2 \cdot \frac{1}{4} = 1 - \frac{2}{\frac{1}{4}} = 1 - 8 = - 7$
