If a person with blood type A has a child with blood type B, the child may develop any of the four possible blood types (in ABOsystem).
Explanation:
Persons with blood type A or blood type B could be either homozygous or heterozygous in genotype.
If heterozygous type A person has a child with heterozygous type B person, then the child may inherit any of the possible four (A/B/AB/O) blood types.
If both parents are homozygous, then there is chanc of developing only one blood type i.e. AB.
