To answer this question we will assume that the solvent is water. The mass of the solvent will be 1.00kg.

NOTE: The density of water is 1g = 1mL

`(1.00 L)/(1)`x`(1000 mL)/(1 L)`x`(1 g)/(1 mL)`x`(1 kg)/(1000g)`= 1.00 kg

To calculate the molality we use the relationship-

`(mol solute)/(kg solvent)` = molality

`(2.00 mol solute)/(1.00 kg solvent)` = 2.00`m`
