If M is the midpoint of AB, find the coordinates of A, given M(1, 2) and B(3, 7). what is the answer to this question? Can someone please help me?

Let coordinates of A be `(x,y)`

`M(1,2)` being the mid point of line segment AB having coordinates of B `(3,7)` we can write
`(x+3)/2=1=>x=-1`

and

`(y+7)/2=2=>y=-3`

So coordinates of A is `(-1,-3)`
