If the mass of body is 50 gram do not use formula (w=mg) calculate the weight of mass?

Weight is nothing but the gravitational force between any object and the earth,

So, we can write, #W = (G M (50/1000)) /R^2# (where, #G# is the gravitational constant,#M# is the mass of earth and #R# is the radius) (considering the mass is present on the surface of earth or at such a distance,which is negligible in comparison with earth's radius)

Now, #G=6.673* 10^-11# #M=5.98*10^24 Kg# and #R=6.38*10^6 m#

putting the values we get, #W=0.49 N#
