# Is magnesium carbonate soluble in water?

As physical scientists we should look at the data. This source quotes the solubility as $0.0106$ $g$ per $100 \cdot m L$ of water. So the stuff is pretty insoluble.
Of course, this presupposes a neutral $p H$. Bicarbonates, salts of $H C {O}_{3}^{-}$ are very soluble.
