# Kevin claims he can draw a trapezoid with three right angles. Is this possible? Explain.

## I don't understand the problem at all

See below.

#### Explanation:

Kevin is incorrect.

Note that all four-sided polygons have a total amount of 360º, and that every right angle is 90º.

Knowing this, and going by Kevin's claim, we would already have 270º with the three right angles. This only leaves us another 90º angle, which is not possible in respect to forming a trapezoid.

For a quadrilateral to be a trapezoid, it can have only ONE set of parallel sides. If the quadrilateral had all angles being 90º, there would be two sets of parallel sides, making it not a trapezoid, but a square, rectangle, etc.
