Molarity Calculation?

To prepare 50.0mL of 4.0M Nac solution, how many grams of solute and mL of solvent do you need? (Hint: 1 mol NaCl= 58.44g)

Could you explain how to get the answers and the equation i'm supposed to use?

volume of solution=50ml=#1/20=0.05# L
Molarity(M)=4M
so, #M=n_(solute)/"volume of solution( in L)"#
#4=(W/58.5)/0.05#
#W_(solute)=11.7# gm
as, it is the NaCl solution so, solvent is water which is 50 ml as, after the mixing of NaCl the solution doesn't change its volume
so, volume of solvent is 50 ml.
