On an ogive to find median you just divide the sum of the frequency by two then draw your line across and down. Do you have to plus 1 to the sum of the frequency then divide by two, or when do you have to plus 1 and divide by 2 to get the median?

Whenever you have a cumulative frequency graph you simply draw the line across and down as you said, at half way up the frequency. I was always taught you add one to totals less than 50 but never do it on c.f. graphs.
