The pituitary gland is found at the base of the brain.


The pituitary gland, responsible for hormone production, is a small organ that is roughly the size of a pea. It is found at the base of the brain, near the hypothalamus and the brain stem.

Its location is closer to the midbrain than the forebrain, although hindbrain would be even more accurate.
