Well, the redox reaction is self-indicating....

Explanation:

#"Oxidation half equation..."#

#underbrace(Fe^(2+))_"Mohr's salt" rarr Fe^(3+) + e^-#

#"Reduction half equation..."#

#MnO_4^(-) + 8H^+ + 5e^(-) rarr Mn^(2+) + 4H_2O(l)#

And so we add FIVE of the former and ONE of the latter to get....

#5Fe^(2+)+MnO_4^(-) + 8H^+ rarr 5Fe^(3+) + Mn^(2+) + 4H_2O(l)#

The which is balanced with respect to mass and charge (I thinks). This reaction is also self-indicating inasmuch as #MnO_4^(-)# is STRONGLY coloured, and #Mn^(2+)# is (almost) colourless....
