(a) #AB+BC=AC#

Explanation:

(a) #AB+BC=AC# means #B# point lies on line joining #AC#. Hence the three points are collinear and hence area of triangle formed by them is zero.

In case (d) they form a right angled triangle and hence area is non-zero.

(b) and (c) are not dimensionally correct as in case of (b) product of #AB# and#AC# should represent area and cannot be double of #AC#

and in case of (c), #(AB)/(AC)# is a ratio and cannot be equal to #BC#.
