The electric field in a particular area is given by the following function. #vecE=4.4N/Cxi#, which means it gets bigger with increasing x values. Find the potential difference between points A #(x=0,y=+2)# and B #(x=3,y=0)?#

There will be no effect on potential difference between the two points because of their distance along #Y# axis,as electric field is directed along #X# axis(given, #vecE=4.4xhati#),so any two points along #Y# axis will be equipotential plane.

the relation is given as,

#V_b -V_a=-int_a^b vec E. vec (dx)#

Given, # E=4.4x#

So, #V_b - V_a=-int_0^3 4.4xdx=-4.4/2 [x^2]_0^3=-2.2*9=-19.8#

So,#V_a-V_b=19.8V#
