I am not sure you mean this but I remember the Latin: "Servus Glebae".

Explanation:

"Servus Glebae" literally meant slave or serf of the land, meaning that the peasants were considered part of the property, objects, things that could be bought or transferred not as humans, with rights or needs, but objects.
They also had to pay tributes to the nobles in exchange to the "right" to use the land and for military protection.
