Using scientific notation, ¨How long would it take for a F35 fighter jet to get to the sun from the United Sates?¨ - Please include the math problem, I need an example to do all of the other problems.

This is a silly question, because the United States' location in relation to the Sun isn't constant.

I will change the wording and define the starting point to be the surface of Earth.

The distance from the surface of the Earth to the Sun is approximately #1.5*10^11"m"#, and the maximum speed of the F-35A jet you refer to is approximately #(536"m")/"s"##.^1#

Hence, if we assume this fighter jet is gunning for the Sun (and it should, that's a long trip!), and it had infinite fuel (because surely it would run out before it reached the sun), then the time it would take to reach the Sun's surface (which again, isn't possible!) is,

#1.5*10^11"m" * "s"/(536"m") * "hr"/(3600"s") approx 7.77*10^4"hr"#

If we did more math, that's approximately #9"yr"#.
