Infection and cirrhosis are two major disorders of liver

Explanation:

Liver normally is a sturdy and largest organ in human body.
However infection of hepatitis B and C is one of the common disorders. Common jaundice is cured but infection of hepatitis is difficult to cure.
Other common disorder of liver is cirrhosis.

Cirrhosis is replacement of normal liver cells with fibrous and fatty cells. The liver becomes stiff. This is the result of poisoning by acetaldehyde the intermediate product of ethyl alcohol. Liver cells are able to convert acetaldehyde to carbon dioxide and water but rate is very slow. Acetaldehyde is toxic to liver cells. Finally causes cirrhosis
