When you say dark and light imagery, I assume you mean for me to use dark and light as the subject of the sentence(s), right?


An example of light imagery would be:
The brilliance of the sun spilled out across the ground and forest, light spilling out and across the outstretched expectant leaves of the numerous trees below.
While light may have not been the direct subject, it was implied, as 'brilliance of the sun' was used instead of the word light, in order to keep things from becoming redundant.
An example of dark imagery would be:
Darkness had been seared into the man and it seemed to stream from his very being, spreading far and wide like miniscule rivulets and cascading rivers.
