Small rocks, pieces of asteroids, left over from comets when they reach earth's upper atmosphere, burns due to heat of friction and we see shooting stars.
Explanation:
They come from asteroid belt or left over by comets in earth's orbit around Sun. Most of them are made of iron and nickel. Few are stones.
Largest is 66 ton and is found in Hoba namibia west Africa. It has relative size to a human being.
