Facultative anaerobes can live with or without oxygen and because of that, they can be found in many places and not all are bacteria.
An example of a facultative anaerobe is E. colibacteria (E. Coli), which is found in the large intestine of vertebrates, such as humans.
B. anthracisis a non-motile facultative anaerobe and produces an exotoxin. Anthrax can result in central nervous system distress, respiratory failure, anoxia and death. Powered anthrax can be used a biological weapon.
Most yeasts are facultative anaerobes.
