Roads and mining areas as well as urbanization

Explanation:

In natural condition, a basin can be quite green (natural). If a mining company clears the area and mines it, erosion accelerates. Not only disturbed land but also unused (removed) material might travel due to wind or water erosion.

Roads cause a change in natural state. People tend to build roads as plain as possible. They remove some material when it is needed. They apply some material when it is needed to make a smooth-plain road. This causes land disturbance and road (itself) does not allow water (rainfall or other types of precipitation) to infiltrate in ground. People tend to clear green areas or trees near roads. This also accelerates erosion since green cover is the best media in terms of infiltration. There are many other points that can be underlined.
