Explanation:

It's different to retrograde amnesia where you can't remember what happened before your accident , so you lose your long term memory, but are still able to make new memories. With anterograde amnesia you are not able to do this so you keep your long term memory but not the short term or sensory memories . Without theses you are not able to make new memories.
