Sun is a main sequence star.

Explanation:

Sun is about 4.6 billion years old. After another 5 billion years all hydrogen in sun will,burn and helium burning will start,At that itm e Sun will become a red giant star..Mass will reduce, pull to center will be very less gases will expand and will become a red giant.First it will reach mercury and then venus. orbits.\So end stage of main sequence will be red giant stage.
