Anticodons are the three peptide sequence at the base of a transfer RNA ( tRNA ) molecule that determines where and how the tRNA attaches to a messenger RNA ( mRNA ) polymerase.

Explanation:

A single tRNA contains a single anticodon at the tip and the corresponding amino acid at the tail. Anticodons are complementary to their corresponding codons.

During translation codons pair with anticodons so that the correct amino acids can be linked to a given codon.

tRNA is a protein building block and anticodons are vital to living things.
