Those are hurricanes.

By definition, a hurricane requires top sustained winds (excluding gusts) of 74 mph (120 km/h) or more. Tropical storms require 39 mph (62 km/h) or more.

One sometimes years of "hurricane-force winds". This us when there is sufficient wind speed but not the large cyclone pattern for a hurricane. Even when not arranged in a hurricane, hurricane-force winds can be just as damaging as the winds in a hurricane.
