Mainly the 'sex chromosomes' determine the sexes.
Explanation:
- In the majority of organisms, sex is determinedby 'X' and 'Y' chromosomes, while in 'Z' and 'W' chromosomes is found in birds.
- Other modes of chromosomal sex determination are XX, X0, UV and haploidy in honey bees.
- Sex can be determined by the environment. In some reptiles, such as aligator, turtle etc., sex is determined by temperature. Thank
