Hospital or Health Care Facility acquired infection causing microorganisms are called as nosocomial pathogens.

Explanation:

These include viral, bacterial, and fungal pathogens.

These can be transmitted through person to person, environment or contaminated water and food, infected individuals, contaminated health care personnel's skin or contact via shared items and surfaces.

Nosocomial infections can cause severe pneumonia and infections of the urinary tract, blood stream and other parts of the body. Many are difficult to treat with antibiotics as excessive and improper use of broad spectrum antibiotics, especially in health care settings elevates nosocomial infections.
