"Zionist" refers to the movement to create a homeland for the Jewish people - more or less.

Explanation:

Zionism is support for a Jewish state in their ancient homeland, inhabited by the Jewish people since Biblical times. A Zionist, then, is someone who is a part of this movement. Whether or not it has succeeded is up to you to decide. Yes, technically Zionists got their way in the form of Israel, but some want to go further than that.
