The Bolsheviks came to power, they were led by Lenin.

Explanation:

The Bolsheviks wanted to introduce a communist revolution in Russia in order to transform both its society and its economy.

They were inspired by Karl Marx, this latter had indeed been a major inspiration for Lenin. The Bolsheviks were part of the Russian Social Democartic Party. Bolshevik means (those who are the majority), they were indeed opposed to the Mensheviks(which means those who are a minority). The Bolsheviks were far more radical.

The Tsarist regime had been toppled in February 1917, in October 1917(in Julian calendar, in November in Gregorian calendar) the provisional government was arrested by the Bolsheviks in the Winter Palace.

Their victory led to the introduction of communism in Russia, private property was abolished and the economy was collectivized. In 1922 the USSR was created. It lasted until 1991.
