The accident involved an explosion and fire in the core of the nuclear reactor of a power plant that produced a cloud of radioactive particles.
The accident caused the death of lot of people and the evacuation of a large area around the plant.
Radioactive particles from the cloud were dispersed over most of Europe and Russia.
